The brief is to create a performance beach catamaran in rotomoulded materials for use by 2 or 3 crew, incorporating innovative and proven engineering rotomould features alongside unique Watercooled styling.

The rig philosophy features innovative low aspect sails with a boomless reefable square top mainsail. This set up allows easy trimming and is possible thanks to intelligent use of batten stiffness. A furling jib for beach/hire applications is a pre-requisite alongside options for a larger non-furling jib with battens and a sail window. An asymmetric spinnaker is also optional.

The hull philosophy is for maximum performance with accessibility for beginners and improving sailors – with single or twin trapeze options plus a long tramp for ease of tuition and comfort. The overall dimensions will be maximised within the constraints of the rotomoulded materials, and the hullforms optimised for running between 150kg and 380kg displacement. An integrated skeg and kick up runners for simplicity and ease of beaching, and spray rails to reduce wetness and provide integrated anchor bar recesses are likely to be incorporated into the design.
