Fishing (Abu Dhabi only)

Onboard catering and post-trip catch cooking available on request.

Cost includes: equipment, bait, soft drinks and an experienced fishing guide. Our boat is fully insured and licensed and has a number of onboard facilities to improve your fishing experience including:

A GPS, fish finder, sun shade, comfortable seating area, wash room and toilet.

Regular catches include: Grouper, Hamour, Cobia, Kingfish, Queen fish, Barracuda, Mackerel and Catfish.

We may fish in the blue sea, but our boats are very green and a brand new engine means better fuel efficiency, so less petrol and oil and reduced exhaust emissions!

  • 3 hours fishing trip for AED 1000 per boat. AED 250 for every extra hour.
  • 2 hour Snorkelling trip AED1200 for up to 10 passengers with AED50 per snorkel.
  • Sightseeing trip 30/60/90 AED100/200/250 per person (min 4 pax)

Around the Island Boat Tour

The tour in detail

boat_mapDolphin Sightings occur regularly near to Emirates Palace. Most sightings will be humpback dolphins which are native to the waters of the gulf. They gather around that certain area due to a sunken barge that is a great place for fish to live.

 

 

1) Emirates Palace

  • Built by John Elliott
  • Opened in 2005
  • Owned by Abu Dhabi Government
  • Cost to build: 3.9 billion GBP, 11.2 Billion AED, 6 Billion USD
  • Interesting fact: 2nd most expensive hotel ever built, only beaten by one in Singapore.

2) Presidential Palace

  • Designed by the same company that built Burj Al Arab.
  • The Sheik and family will live there.
  • City Architecture
  • Sky Scrapers among older style buildings.

3) Grand Mosque

  • Built from: 1996-2007
  • Also known as Sheik Zayed Mosque
  • Interesting fact: The Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al Nahyan lies at rest in the grounds.

4) Shangri-La, Fairmont, Traders, Ritz Carlton Hotels

  • Shangri-La has souks inside the hotel.

5) Eastern Mangroves

  • Arabic name: “Qurm”
  • Mangroves are various types of trees up to medium height and shrubs that grow in saline coastal sediment habitats
  • Native animals to Mangroves are: Dugongs (sea cows) they look like hippos and flamingos. You will also see humpback dolphins and sea turtles.

6) Louvre Museum

  • Artwork from around the world will be in the museum
  • Will open in 2015

7) Mina Fishing Port

  • Opened in 1968 commercial
  • Traditional wooden boat designs are called dhows.
  • Interesting fact: At 3am the port gets busy with fisherman selling fish fresh off the boat.

8) Lulu Island
A Manmade island, was started in 1988 and completed in 1992. It was open to the public with various ferries and bus services on the island and cafes. It was also rumored that Lulu Island was going to be a tourist destination for a Disney theme park during the mid-1990s. On 1 January 2009, the previous ferry service was abruptly stopped due to unspecified ‘renovations’ on the island. Access was by private boat only. There are plans of reconstruction they include the construction of a new permanent bridge connecting the island to the mainland, as well as a 400 meter landmark tower known as Lulu Tower.
